About Us

Global Society Initiative for Peace and Democracy  (GLOSIPAD) is a Civil Society Organization, which is legally registered and incorporated under the Company Act 2012 with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Government of the Republic of Uganda. The registration Number is 80020000359469 in Kampala which the organization has been legally registered and incorporated into Company Act 2012. The Organization has also been legally registered by National Bureau for NGOs Board under ministry of Internal Affairs of Uganda and also registered under South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in Republic of South Sudan. It was founded in 2015.

Legal Status

Global Society Initiative for Peace and Democracy (GLOSIPAD) is a Non Governmental Organization, which is legally registered and incorporated under the Company Act 2012 with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Government of the Republic of Uganda. The registration Number is 80020000359469 in Kampala which the organization has been legally registered and incorporated into Company Act 2012.

Management

GLOSIPAD is a Non – Profit Organization that is owned by community and it has a Board of Trustees, board of directors, and the programme management unit that is involved in the day to day running of the organization. The management is answerable to the board of Trustees, and Donors. The Board consists of five persons who supervise and guide the Executive Director, and they are empowered officially by the general assembly to guide and ensure this organization achieves its goal and mission.

This an organization is headed by the Executive Director that is charged with day to day  running activities of the organization, supervises the programme management units and also answerable to the Board of directors.
